Maria Camilla has vast experience Economic Law, particularly Competition/Antitrust Law, advising both Brazilian and multinational companies, as well as representing clients in civil litigation before all levels of the Brazilian Judiciary, including the Superior Courts. With more than 10 years of experience in Competition Law, she has represented companies in significant administrative proceedings before the Administrative Council for Economic Defense (CADE), including cartel investigations and other antitrust matters. She also advises domestic and foreign companies on merger control filings, including mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures before CADE, and has been involved in complex merger review cases.
Between 2024 and 2025, she served as Technical Advisor to the Presidency of the Administrative Council for Economic Defense (CADE), where she participated in the analysis of relevant competition policy issues and cases submitted to the Brazilian antitrust authority. She also has solid experience in judicial and administrative litigation involving matters related to Economic Law, Digital Law, Technology, Regulatory and Consumer Law.
She holds dual undergraduate degrees in Law from the Brazilian Institute of Education, Development and Research (IDP) and International Relations from Fundação Armando Álvares Penteado (FAAP). Her practice includes the handling of complex litigation and advisory work on regulatory and competition matters.
She is the author of the article “Algorithms, Collusion and ‘New Agents’: The Four Scenarios of Stucke and Ezrachi under the Brazilian Antitrust Framework”, published in Women in Antitrust (WIA), Volume 1, and previously served as a member of the Competition Law Commission of the Federal District Bar Association. She is fluent in English and has working knowledge of French.
